You’d be crazy to think that we could do this all on our own. How would we manage the rowdy kids at the back of class with the spitballs? Our interns help keep School House Booze in tip-top shape, while bringing some textbook tipsy knowledge to the staff room.
COMMUNITY MANAGER INTERN
I AM AN INDUSTRIOUS PERSON; I LIKE TO LEARN AND CREATE THINGS, THEN SHARE THEM WITH ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN. I HAVE AN ENORMOUS AND COMPLETELY BLENDED FAMILY WHO I WILL BRAG ABOUT TO NO END.
What I’m hoping to learn about booze is…
“How to appreciate liquor. I’ve got a special place in my heart for wine and beer already but something is definitely missing.”
What I’m good at…
“Being the best intern ever! As well as having an ever-expanding knowledge of beer and home brewing, I can also make a mean cup of coffee (that’s what interns do right?!)”
What was the best thing about school?
“Art class, I really thought I wanted to be an artist… brewing is an art right? I regret not appreciating silent reading time; I want that back.”
What’s your favourite boozy drink and why?
“Can I say beer? That might be too vague but the best thing about beer is that it is so versatile. I firmly believe that not every beer is for every person but that there is a beer for everyone. You just have to do some “exploring” to find it…what are you still doing here? Go! Drink! Explore!”
It’s recess what were you up to?
“Trying to pretend I was a tomboy by playing soccer with the boys (I’m terrible at sports, so it was fairly obvious that I was just following boys around).”
